The Redland Foundation is hosting its second annual Christmas Toy Drive in partnership with Hope and Home, a local foster care agency. After great success last holiday season, we are excited to double our efforts and provide more gifts for all children within the Hope and Home program. There are 60 more kids in the Denver program alone compared to last year, so we need your help to spread some cheer with new and unwrapped gifts.
Hope and Home trains and supports foster families who care for children who have been abused and neglected. Hope and Home gathers gifts throughout this season and then creates a Christmas shop for foster parents to pick out gifts for kids in their care. This way families can pick out the perfect item for each child.
What to give
Hope and Home has toddlers, kids, and teens in their care with the most common ages being 6-10 years old. Here are some ideas for different age ranges – Crafts, dolls, games, and stuffed animals are great gifts for kids. Art supplies, sports equipment, electronics, and gift cards are great gifts for teens.
How to give
New and unwrapped gifts can be placed in donation bins located at 1500 West Canal Ct, Littleton, CO.
WHEN TO GIVE
The Redland Foundation Toy Drive will run from Monday, November 18th through Friday, December 13th. Donation bins will be accessible Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. At the end of day on December 13th all toys will be delivered to Hope and Home and will be added to their Christmas store.
