The holiday season is upon us, and so we call upon our friends, family, and colleagues to take part in the very first Redland Foundation Toy Drive!
The Foundation has partnered with Hope and Home, a local foster care agency, which will receive all gifts donated through the toy drive. Hope and Home trains and supports foster families who care for children who have been abused and neglected. Hope and Home gathers gifts throughout this season and then creates a Christmas shop for foster parents to pick out gifts for kids in their care. This way families can pick out the perfect item for each child. We are proud to partner with an organization that strives to provide the best environment possible for their foster families, and we hope that this Toy Drive can bring some joy to their holiday season.
What to give
Hope and Home has toddlers, kids, and teens in their care with the most common ages being 6-10 years old. Here are some ideas for different age ranges – Crafts, dolls, games, and stuffed animals are great gifts for kids. Art supplies, sports equipment, electronics, and gift cards are great gifts for teens. If you need help finding a gift, please visit the Hope and Home Amazon Wishlist where you can find specific wishes from kids and teens.
